Ludism: By a “growth mindset”, we mean the belief that you can improve your intelligence and skills through training. This can be contrasted with a “fixed mindset”, which views intelligence and skills as mainly innate and due to “talents”. There is some evidence that students who are trained to have a “growth mindset” perform better.

“The question is, if our brain structure can change throughout our adult lives, can our IQ also change?” adds Professor Price. “My guess is yes. There is plenty of evidence to suggest that our brains can adapt and their structure changes, even in adulthood.”

Canadian scientists who specialize in learning, memory and language in children have found exciting evidence that pre-schoolers can improve their verbal intelligence after only 20 days of classroom instruction using interactive, music-based cognitive training cartoons.
